County Attorney

The role of County Attorney is a highly significant position that holds numerous responsibilities, the most prominent of which is the prosecution of criminal offenses. Not only does this include adult violations, but also extends to juvenile cases as well. However, prosecuting criminal conduct isn’t the only area in which the County Attorney is involved, as they also handle the prosecution of traffic offenses, as well as cases involving children in need of care, alcohol commitments, and mental illness. In addition to these duties, they also conduct research, write appellate briefs, and monitor diversion cases. These tasks require a great deal of attention to detail, as the County Attorney must ensure that justice is served for all parties involved. On top of all these responsibilities, the County Attorney is also responsible for assisting victims of crime, making their role an indispensable aspect of the justice system.
