The Environmental, Zoning, & Planning department plays a critical role in ensuring our community is livable and sustainable. They stay on top of zoning regulations, making sure that development is consistent with the community’s long-term goals. They manage the County Sanitation Code, which is essential for public health and help enforce environmental regulations, which go a long way in protecting our natural resources. In addition, working with the County Planning Commission, they ensure a sustainable and long-term plan for the county.
