The Public Works Department of Montgomery County shoulders the important duty of keeping all the equipment, including graders, mowers, trucks, and other machinery related to road activities, in a functional state. The department’s focused attention allows the seamless operations of all the machinery which benefits the functioning of the county’s roads. Additionally, the department oversees and manages the crucial Noxious Weed Program and the Household Hazardous Waste Program. The Noxious Weed Program deals with identifying and eliminating the growth of declared noxious weeds, whereas the Household Hazardous Waste Program ensures safe disposal of hazardous waste materials from homes.
